Client: Lucie App
Designing and Engineering an Elite On-Demand Luxury Wellness Platform.

Lucie App is a premium, high-end mobile marketplace providing ultra-exclusive wellness, beauty, and fitness services directly to discerning clientele. Operating across the world’s most luxurious cultural hubs—London, Paris, and Ibiza—the platform requires an uncompromising, high-tier digital experience. Utilizing a striking, established brand logo crafted by Hudson Wright Easton, SYSTEM Studio orchestrated the entire digital product architecture from its inception five years ago. We spearheaded the complete UI/UX design and native iOS and Android development for two entirely separate applications—a consumer-facing client application and a dedicated expert booking application—all synchronized by a bulletproof Laravel backend platform.

The Technical Challenge

Building a frictionless on-demand luxury service marketplace demands absolute real-time synchronization between two entirely independent mobile platforms. The primary technical hurdle lay in establishing a continuous data loop between the consumer app (built for discovery, seamless scheduling, and premium transactional checkout) and the expert app (engineered for service providers to manage calendars, track real-time booking alerts, process payouts, and handle geolocation tracking). The underlying architecture needed to be incredibly resilient, secure, and lightweight to manage volatile, cross-border data streams across three different countries with zero latency.

Our Engineering Approach

We engineered a unified, dual-application product ecosystem that combines beautiful, editorial frontend interfaces with an incredibly advanced full-stack backend architecture.

Dual-Platform UI/UX Design

Formulated two distinct design languages within a cohesive visual system: a sleek, high-contrast, visual-first shopping experience for the consumer app, and a highly functional, utility-driven workspace interface for the expert application.

Native Cross-Platform Engineering

Developed highly performant, fluid native applications for both Apple iOS and Android across both app variants, optimizing native device hardware communication to deliver immediate push-notification mechanics and native scrolling speeds.

Custom Laravel Core Backend

Built a centralized, highly secure backend application infrastructure using the Laravel framework, acting as a single source of truth to manage complex scheduling rules, multi-user authentication tiers, and real-time availability states across both apps.

Multi-Currency API & Infrastructure

Programmed a secure, global API layout integrating automated international payment rails and regional compliance layers, supporting seamless real-time processing and payout splits across diverse currencies and global territories.

Lucie app displayed across three iPhone screens – the Catering "Select Menu" page showing Sample Menu A at £50pp with starters and a group size selector, the post-appointment "Rate Your Experience" screen for Emmy Brown's Instant Glow Facial with a tip option, and the More page with links to FAQ, About, Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, and contact details
Lucie app displayed on two iPhone screens – the client login page with email, password, sign in, and create account options, and the Florist "Select Menu" page showing a grid of floral arrangement options at £40pp each, with "Add More Arrangements" and "Book Now" buttons

The Outcome

The finalized dual-app architecture has successfully transformed Lucie App into an authoritative international industry leader in the luxury on-demand wellness sector. Our continuous five-year engagement across infrastructure maintenance, continuous speed tuning, and localized multi-city expansions has turned a bold startup idea into a stable, highly profitable enterprise-grade asset. The project serves as an ideal illustration of SYSTEM Studio’s capability to serve as a comprehensive, multi-year product engineering studio, delivering pixel-perfect aesthetics backed by world-class software architectures.
